3 months

12 weeks

We cannot believe Cole is 3 months already! He's holding his head up and loves to look around! He also loves to kick his feet and stand up...he's very strong too!

I'm behind...Cole at 11 weeks

My family came to visit a couple of weeks ago and got to meet Cole! Nathan had practiced how to say his name and it was super sweet! He was so loving with Cole and wanted to share his DVD and give him hugs! Here are some pics from the weekend...

Very talkative 10-weeker!

Cole is now 10 weeks and talking up a storm! He'll sometimes respond to us when we talk to him, and a lot of the time, he talks to himself after he wakes up from a nap or is chillin' in his swing. He smiles all the time and is officially out of the 'newborn' sizes :) He started noticing his Bevos on the mobile and we think it's hilarious! He's a Texas fan already...we love it! I'm trying to upload a video of him smiling and talking...hopefully it works...it's not the best of his smiling and talking, but it's what I was able to record!

9 weeks

We had our 2-month check up and Cole weighed 9 pounds 14 ounces...so close to 10 pounds! He's now 21.5 inches long and almost out of the 'newborn' sizes (yes, he's a little guy)! We found out this past week that mimi & papa (yes dad, that's what Cole calls you *wink*), aunt Jessi, uncle Robert, aunt Connie, and cousin Nathan are all coming to visit in a couple of weeks! We're still hoping uncle Tommy may be able to find some way to make it down too ;) We are SOOOO excited b/c this will be the first time for the aunts, uncles & cousin get to meet Mr. Cole! Yes, Cole has a TON of nicknames...'lil man, Mr. Cole, mijo (an affectionate term to refer to "my son" or a contraction of mi hijo en espanol), just to name a few. There are others, but I'm having 'mommy brain' right now and can't remember them all...haha! Cole is smiling all the time now and is 'talking' more and more! Every once in awhile he will respond to us talking to him and it is so rewarding!

8 weeks = 2 months

Cole is already 2 months, my how time flies! He went to class with me today and flirted with all the girls, giving everyone big smiles! I'm still laughing b/c he had some serious gas in the middle of class, not to mention while my professor was holding him (how embarrassing!) haha! He's doing great with tummy time and rolls over more and more (although it's more due to the weight of his head than purposefully rolling over). Jason and Aurea visited this past weekend and we had a great time with them! They were brave enough to help us take Cole out to dinner two nights in a row! We're able to recognize his different cries now and boy when he is hungry, he means business! He's also cooing more and really interested in looking at himself in the mirror.

7 weeks

This post is a bit late! At 7 weeks, Cole was really starting to smile in response to us and we could get him to smile (and it not just be related to gas...haha!). Greg, Kristy, and Bailey were here for the weekend and we had a blast! We took him out for the first time and went to the mall and grocery store! Cole did awesome (and so did Bailey, she was so cute looking around at everything we walked by)! We also took our first walk around the neighborhood and trip to the park, funny how many people say 'hi' to you when you have a kiddo in tow :)
