24 weeks = 6 months!!!

We are now at 24 weeks/6 months and can't believe it's the 3rd trimester already! I am feeling the baby move A LOT, his movements are getting a lot stronger and I can actually see when he kicks! We just took a trip to Phoenix to visit my grandparents & our friend, Nathan...here's a pic of my buddha belly :) It was nice to hang out in the pool and 'take the weight off'. We're continuing to work on the baby's room and got our rocking chair this weekend...thank you mom & dad!

23 weeks!

Our baby is now the size of a mango and he is very active (especially at work when I'm feeding a baby)! We've been getting name suggestions and thought I'd share them...some are really funny! Crawn or Draig (from Sarah), Bolt (from Gabby), Jesser (Gabby's mom), Cornflake & Brendan (from Brenda) and there are others, can't remember, but we've had some good laughs! Here's some current pics of me...quickly growing out of my clothes and pics of the baby's room (and yes, that is a longhorn mobile...thank you Debika!).

21 weeks-over halfway there!

Your baby measures about 7.2 inches from crown to rump and weighs about 10.5 ounces. He is steadily gaining fat to keep warm. Growth rate is slowing down but organ systems, like digestion, are continuing to mature. A waxy film, called the vernix caseosa, is being produced by your baby's oil glands and covers the skin to keep it supple in the amniotic fluid. Buds for permanent teeth are beginning to form. Friends, relatives, and even strangers can probably tell you're pregnant by now. Your uterus is starting to extend above your navel. You've likely gained between 10 and 14 pounds.

It's a BOY!!!!!

We found out this morning that we are having a BOY!!!!!! Since the pregnancy was a bit of a surprise, we wanted to know what it is...no more surprises ;) However, we're keeping the name a secret from everyone until he is born...maybe we can take bets on what it will be?!?!? He's an active one and kept kicking and moving his arms during the sonogram!
