8 weeks = 2 months

Cole is already 2 months, my how time flies! He went to class with me today and flirted with all the girls, giving everyone big smiles! I'm still laughing b/c he had some serious gas in the middle of class, not to mention while my professor was holding him (how embarrassing!) haha! He's doing great with tummy time and rolls over more and more (although it's more due to the weight of his head than purposefully rolling over). Jason and Aurea visited this past weekend and we had a great time with them! They were brave enough to help us take Cole out to dinner two nights in a row! We're able to recognize his different cries now and boy when he is hungry, he means business! He's also cooing more and really interested in looking at himself in the mirror.

7 weeks

This post is a bit late! At 7 weeks, Cole was really starting to smile in response to us and we could get him to smile (and it not just be related to gas...haha!). Greg, Kristy, and Bailey were here for the weekend and we had a blast! We took him out for the first time and went to the mall and grocery store! Cole did awesome (and so did Bailey, she was so cute looking around at everything we walked by)! We also took our first walk around the neighborhood and trip to the park, funny how many people say 'hi' to you when you have a kiddo in tow :)

6 weeks already!

Well, we are now at the 6-week mark and like everyone has said, it is starting to get easier. We still have a ways to go with our sleeping habits, but at least he's doing more than crying non-stop or just going from sleeping to crying and only a few smiles here and there. He is smiling all the time now and will smile in response to our voices! We had a great time with the grandparents this past weekend and Cole smiled a lot for Grandma Chesser...so sweet! It is so much fun when they start to interact with you and recognize your voice! We took him up to Craig's office today to meet everyone and he did very well! Craig's cake had the message "Happy Birthday Cole's Dad"! There's a running joke at his office that once you have kids, you no longer have a first name and are know as "so-and-so's Dad"...haha! Kristy, Greg, & Bailey are coming this weekend...so excited! And we get to see Aurea and Jason the following weekend!!! If I can ever get a quicker connection, I will upload some videos of Cole too :)

Sleepless in Austin

Cole is now 5 weeks old! I cannot believe how quickly time has flown! At Cole's 1-month appointment last week, he weighed 7 pounds 2 ounces...hooray, we're finally out of the preemie-size clothes! He's really started cooing and smiling this past week and what a joy that has been! He hates his diaper being changed, except when Craig does it...must be a guy-thing! We haven't figured out a schedule, let alone the difference between days and nights yet, but we're trying. We're so excited, we get to see the Chesser grandparents this weekend and then my BFF Kristy & her family (including Cole's future wife...haha) next weekend! I go back to work next week...I love my job (who wouldn't love working with babies all day), but will certainly miss my little man.
